Terraforming

1. Create a single plane, or if in tS4 a cube(if creating a cube, remeber that you have a limited amout of z-axis to go down on. To solve, either scale along the z-axis, or select the bottom face(s) and drag face.)
2. Quad divide to the level you want it, in some cases you want to subdivide a lot depending on the size of your object.
3. Color it R220,G51,B39 Phong shaded, O Shine,0 Transparency,0 Ambient.

Now to Terraform...

4. Activate the Deform tool, select the x-axis plane, or y-axis plane. Create as many vertice branches as wanted(remember:no more than there are faces). Repeat on other axis.
5. Now, if your computer will handle it, go to 3DR,D3D, or OpenGL mode.
6. Activate local deformation tool, then select a joining vertice link. To create terrain at the same level, right click on the object tool and copy the z-axis location(top right corner).
7. Create your terrain(note:if you want to create a trench that's a long straight line, deform a long x- or y-axis).
8. Triangulate, and smooth quad divide as necessary.
9. Texture the object when finished.
(Note:If you used a cube and went below the bottom, select all the faces on the bottom and right button drag it onto the correct level, do NOT scale z-axis as it will scale the complete object.
